Let us know what questions you have!
Are these sheets or blankets?
These are sheets. We use sheets because that way you can use them all year round. With Kids Zip Sheets all you do is place your blankets, duvet covers, or quilts on top. Kids Zip Sheets will help keep the top covers in place. Our flannel sheets could almost be considered zipper blankets because the flannel is a nice weight and very cozy!
Are the zips all the way around?
No, we place two 70 cm (27.6 in) long zips on either side of the top ends so that your child can zip themselves in and out. We sew the base of the top sheet to the base of the fitted sheet and same with the remaining sides. We leave an unsewn section on each side between where the end of the zip finishes and the bottom corner of the two sewn sheets. This allows for ventilation and is not a flaw in the construction.
What is the difference between the crib and larger sets?
The crib sets have press studs that allow you to short sheet the top sheet. There are several present positions for to you use. If you have a younger child you will fold the top sheet all the way down and click the top sheet into the first set of press studs. This will allow you to always place your toddler at the base of his/her bed. As they get older, you simply adjust the press studs until you are using the full length of the top sheet. This size is recommended for toddlers and younger children ages 12 months and older. The crib size is NOT to be used with infants or babies under the age of 1 year. It could pose a suffocation hazard.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes, we offer FREE Gift Wrapping around Christmas! We have just started offering gift wrapping and may continue it year round. At this time, it is free of charge. We may need to charge a small fee to cover it in the future.
How do you ship Kids Zip Sheets?
We ship most orders using USPS Priority 2-3 day mail. That usually means a 2-3 day delivery but it can be up to 7 days. There is no guarantee. If you need it by a certain date, we recommend you order in plenty of time or contact us for guaranteed delivery dates which will require an additional charge based on your address.
How quickly will my order ship once I’ve placed it?
We try to ship all orders same day or next day if possible. It depends on when the order comes in for example, an order that is received at 1 PM EST on Saturday will not ship until Monday. But we endeavor to get your order shipped as soon as possible.
How do you attach the top sheet to the fitted sheet?
We sew the top sheet to the fitted sheet and double stitch it on.
Will my child be too warm in these sheets?
There is no polyester in our sheets – they are 100% cool, comfortable cotton. And with the two holes for ventilation, it’s not likely your child will be too warm. Leave the top sheet unzipped on both sides for even more air flow. They are really versatile in how you choose to use them yet they make the bed so EASY!
Will my child feel confined?
The beauty of our sheets is that your child can be as tucked in as they want to be. The bottom part of the sheets is attached or sewn together. There is an area left open for ventilation (to stick a foot out, but the zippers can be zipped up or down on either side. If your child feels too confined, leave them unzipped or leave one side unzipped. That way a child can get in and out quickly for a bathroom trip but that top sheet will still stay in place and be a cinch to zip up in the morning.
There is a hole on each side – is that a flaw or is it part of the design?
Those holes are part of the design and they are not a flaw. The area left open is to provide ventilation, something that is unique to our design and not present in most other zippered bedding.
Which products are you recommending line dry only?
Our first batch of sheets, the lilac and sky blue flannel, should be line dried to get the maximum wear out of the sheets. We have had a few cases where the zippers were damaged in the dryer and to be on the safe side, we are recommending line dry for that batch only. All other stock including our 100% cotton in white, bright blue, fuchsia, and aqua can be safely tumble dried. It is a good idea to leave the sheets zipped when laundering to reduce wear on the zipper.
How do you wash it?
You wash Kids Zip Sheets as you would the old type of sheets. ONLY the current flannel stock in sky blue and lilac MUST BE LINE DRIED ONLY. The dryer could damage the zippers or they may shrink. All other stock is machine dryable so please note the care instructions on your set of Kids Zip Sheets. We can not be responsible for damage done if the care instructions have not been followed. If you attempt to dry the flannel in a dryer, use low heat, gentle cycle, and keep the sheets zipped up to minimize friction on the zipper. If you do that, you do it at your own risk. We highly recommend line dry for the older flannels. We have improved the newer flannels and it is safe to tumble dry all our stock now.
